| Ron Hounsell, director of logistics services, has spent 22 years in supply chain operations and consulting, with concentrations in strategic planning, productivity improvement, technology, purchasing, inventory and project management. Roughly half of that time was spent as a logistics consultant in three different positions, working with clients from $50 million to $8 billion in annual revenue. Ron’s experience also includes several years as the main logistics executive in privately held publishing and apparel operations. In those assignments, he had P & L responsibility, and other functions – including IT, Accounts Receivable, Customer Service and Quality Control – reporting directly to him. He is active in the Council of Logistics Management (CLM), the Warehouse Education and Research Council (WERC), and APICS; makes frequent speaker appearances; and is a regular contributor to industry trade publications. Ron holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin, Madison, and a Masters from Northwestern. He is certified in Integrated Resource Management (CIRM) by APICS.
