Mike Markham,
vice president of sales, has been involved in the logistics
and distribution industry for more than 20 years. His experience
began on the operations side in the warehouse industry in the early
1980’s where he worked in both warehouse and back office operations.
His role quickly progressed to a managerial capacity for a national
third-party logistics provider in the Kansas City area, where he
was responsible for warehouse personnel and overall dock operations.
This ‘hands on’ industry experience would prove crucial
as Mike made the switch from the operational to the technological
side of the industry later in his career.
In 1989, Mike joined the LDS Corporation as a technical
support analyst where he was responsible for the support of a large
third-party warehouse account base. He moved quickly into a lead
technical role and was responsible for on-site customer software
implementations and installation. The experience gained in on-site
implementations and overall customer relationship management in
a wide variety of vertical markets gave Mike a valuable education
of the industry as a whole. Mike soon became vice president of client
services where he was responsible for all technical support and
client service operations.
In the mid 1990’s, Mike transitioned into a
sales role with LDS, later becoming the senior vice president of
sales. In this position, he was responsible for sales operations
and was a member of the executive management team that determined
overall company direction. The experience gained earlier in his
career from warehouse operations and technical services gives Mike
the unique perspective in consulting with customers to provide the
best solution for their business.
At Cadre, Mike is responsible for operations
management of the Kansas City office and plays a key role in new
system sales. He also works closely with current customers in finding
solutions to meet their technology and application needs as well
as furthering their ability to acquire future business opportunities.
Mike received a bachelor’s degree in business administration
from the University of Kansas.
