Cadre Technologies today announced that Michael Lewis Company (MLCo) of Wood Dale, Illinois has selected its Cadence Integrated Distribution System. MLCo will implement the Cadence Warehouse Management System with integrated Web Access and Cadence Mobile Logistics (CML) which integrates speech and bar code scanning for mobile warehouse workers.

MLCo is a major supplier of in-flight supplies and catering products for the world’s leading airlines. Headquartered in Wood Dale, Illinois, MLCo operates more than 356,000 square feet of dry warehouse, freezer and cooler space in facilities near O’Hare International Airport and Sky Harbor Int’l Airport.
The system will provide seamless flow of logistics information and execution from receiving docks directly to the warehouse and onto the shipping locations.

Cadence is an integrated, real-time system for distribution and logistics, built on the Microsoft.Net platform. The system provides seamless operations for managing warehouse operations including receiving, locations, picking, replenishment, and inventory control. Cadence Mobile Logistics integrates multiple modes of information for warehouse workers on wireless Windows based mobile computers. Information may be presented and gathered via bilingual speech, keypad/browser and bar-code scanning. The WMS will include lot control, expiration data control, catch weight, and live load management.
