| The Terminal Corporation selects Cadre’s Cadence Fulfillment Software Suite to Expand Custom Logistics Capabilities
Ellicott City, MD – March 8, 2002 - Cadre Technologies announced today that The Terminal Corporation of Timonium, Maryland has selected its Cadence Warehouse Management, Order Management and Activity Billing Systems for expansion of its logistics systems. Terminal provides full-service, end-to-end logistics solutions for consumer retailers and manufacturers and shippers of industrial commodities including warehousing distribution, trucking, rail, contract logistics, technology, staffing and engineered solutions.
The Cadence WMS system will manage all product receiving, putaway, picking, packing and inventory control at Terminal’s multiple warehouses located in and around the Port of Baltimore. Cadence OMS integrates order entry capabilities directly into the warehouse system, utilizing critical, customer and product data directly from the WMS database. The Cadence Activity Billing System (ABS) will help Terminal accurately record logistic services performed for customer transactions.
The Terminal Corporation has more than 100 years of history of logistics services spanning a broad range of commodities and shipping methods including heavy industrial cargoes from ships and piers, high technology components, food and grocery products, paper and building materials.
“Our combination of facilities, people and equipment offer an extensive ‘toolbox’ to complete the safe movement of products within multiple supply and distribution chains,” explained Curt Russell, President of The Terminal Corporation. “Cadence is a significant addition to this set of tools.”
All Cadence products are built from the ground-up on the Microsoft Windows 2000/SQL Server platform. They have been designed to give 3rd Party Logistic, Fulfillment and Distribution companies’ maximum control over tracking product movement and locations. The systems execute all logistics operations including receiving, putaway, picking, inventory control and advanced shipping. They are delivered in either on-site or hosted environments. Cadre also provides warehouse consulting, implementation and support services. It has offices in Ellicott City, Maryland and Denver, Colorado.
“We are honored to participate in Terminal Corporation’s complete logistics approach,” said Joe Peters, President of Cadre. “They are one of the finest examples of service-oriented fulfillment organizations with which we’ve been associated. We value the opportunity to include Cadence and our Cadre team in their service offering.”
