CADRE TECHNOLOGIES TO OFFER SIMPLIFIED GAINSHARING CONSULTING.

April 19, 2005, Denver, CO – Cadre Technologies’ Director of Logistics Services, Ron Hounsell has co-authored “Warehouse Productivity, Improving Workforce Performance with Simplified Gainsharing” with Pat Kelley, Director of Logistics for True Value Hardware. The book presents a unique plan for warehouse workforce and management incentives which significantly improves productivity, closely linking motivation, performance and reward. Additionally, Cadre Technologies has added consulting services, under the direction of Mr. Hounsell to implement the incentive plan for its distribution and 3rd party logistics service providers.

Simplified Gainsharing has been successfully implemented at 16 distribution facilities in the US, with a four year network productivity increase of 71%, while some DCs actually doubled their productivity. Along with these productivity gains, quality improved 40% and turnover decreased 87%.

“Simplified Gainsharing is just that – a simple way to actively engage and incent workers to improve both their incomes and the company’s performance, and to tie their benefit directly to personal effort and achievement,” explained Hounsell. “It requires very little capital and has proven itself in both large and small facilities, both union and non-union.”

The book defines the critical strategies of implementing and maintaining a Simplified Gainsharing program for hourly distribution workers and their supervisors. It features examples of how the practice has been implemented in the real world as well as a series of worksheets and documents to guide the process.
