Warehouse Management Data Interchange
Warehouse Fulfillment & Integration Software
CDI is an integration platform that specifies the elements of data that define the communication between Cadence WMS and external systems such as Electronic Data Interchange (EDI, ERP systems, Transportation Systems, etc).
To work directly with external systems, Cadence features the ability to execute business transactions electronically, using computer-to-computer communication. Cadence Data Interchange (CDI) accomplishes this using inbound, outbound, and other data interchange document types.
These data elements are grouped into logical categories of documents, based on the type of data interchange that occurs with the external system. For example, there is a CDI document that describes the data elements of a Cadence WMS SKU for entering and retrieving SKU information to and from Cadence. Another CDI document defines the data elements for Shipment Confirmations.
