World’s Largest Marine Electronics Manufacturer Implements Cadence WMS

To meet the demands of aggressive growth and product-launch schedule, Navico required real-time warehouse and shipping systems for fulfilling orders to distribution, retail and consumer markets.

Navico, a specialist electronics company serving recreation and commercial boating markets with brands that assist in navigation and fish-finding, has selected and implemented Cadre Technologies’ Cadence Warehouse Management System. The system operates at Navico’s manufacturing and distribution facility in Ensenada, Baja California, Mexico for shipments through San Diego to its global distribution network, retailers and consumers.

The company has driven unprecedented growth through innovation and the continual launch of new products in its market leading brands, Lowrance, Simrad and B&G.

Cadence WMS provides advanced order fulfillment and execution, adding significant improvements in product picking, compliant labeling, international documentation, serial number control, and reporting.

Cadence gives us control over all the variables of serving our global market including our distribution center,” explained Kim DiGaetano, Director of Commercial Operations and Distribution at Navico’s Global Logistics Center in Ensenada, Mexico. “It has improved accuracy and efficiency to help us manage the demands of being the market leader in marine electronics and handle the growth required to remain the leader.”

Cadence operates in real-time on the Microsoft platform and is integrated with Navico’s ERP system. It organizes picking waves, directs product receiving and putaway, builds product kits to stock, and plans shipments.

“Cadence is a perfect fit for Navico’s diverse product line and markets,” said Daryl Grove, Cadre Executive VP. “It helps them manage shipments to their global distribution centers, distributors and direct to consumers. We are pleased to add a world-class company like Navico to our list of industry leading customers.”
