Cadre Technologies Introduces New Event Management System.
Innovative software capabilities allow users to better manage process flow.
DENVER, Colo., Feb. 2, 2010 – Cadre Technologies announced its new Cadre Event Management System (CEMS), an event-driven engine that allows users to make site-specific modifications to version 3.6 of its Cadence warehouse management system (WMS).
CEMS was implemented using a standard Cadence user interface to create, manage, deploy and monitor the configured events within the Cadence WMS. The new system allows customers to easily:
- Extend the standard functional capabilities within the application based on specific client or customer requests.
- Create standard Microsoft SQL Server database triggers to launch desired events. For example, when a truck leaves the dock, trigger an automated advance ship notice (ASN) to notify interested parties of the shipment.
- Broadcast to customer-configured ‘listeners’ to interpret system events and act upon them appropriately. Listeners are software components that wait for system broadcast messages from Cadence and create actionable events.
- Configure listeners using standard Microsoft SQL statements to take one to many types of actions for each event, based on the complexity of the specific client or customer request.
