| Cadre implements XML to drive order processing in its Cadence Fulfillment software suite
June 11, 2002, Denver, CO -- Cadre Technologies announced today that it has implemented internal and external XML messaging interfaces in its Cadence Order Management System (OMS). The messaging interface provides an open architecture for browser based order entry, XML formatted order capture and XML publishable order format for incoming orders.
The XML foundation positions Cadre customers to electronically publish and access orders, product catalogs and other exchangeable data sets within a .Net environment with other trading partners.
“Our adoption of XML as a common internal and external interface sets up our customers to meet the current and future challenges of electronic order processing,” Dave Jesse, Cadre’s Vice President of Product Development explained. “It provides an XML interface into the Cadence Order Management System as well as the Cadence Warehouse Management System.”
Cadence OMS is part of Cadre’s warehouse-centric Cadence Fulfillment Software suite. Cadence is designed to expand the utility of the Warehouse Database, consolidating critical product, order and customer data into a single repository rather than connecting multiple applications and databases. The fulfillment suite also includes Cadence Activity Billing System (ABS) and Cadence Transportation Management System (TMS) which share common data resources to efficiently process orders.
“The ‘warehouse-centric’ design is a significant breakthrough for distribution and fulfillment companies,” said Joe Peters, President of Cadre Technologies. “It expands the functionality of the warehouse management system by giving it order capture, service billing and shipping utilities which were previously separate applications relying on individual databases and interfaces.”
Complementing Cadre’s Cadence software products are professional consulting, implementation and support services. Services include warehouse analysis and planning, database conversion, operational consulting, training and ongoing software support. Cadre offers Cadence both in a phased implementation or as a total systems replacement.
All Cadence products are built from the ground-up on the Microsoft Windows/SQL Server platform. They have been designed to give distribution companies maximum control over tracking product movement and locations. The systems execute all logistics operations including receiving, putaway, picking, inventory control and advanced shipping.
Cadre Technologies, Inc. is a leading innovator in warehouse and logistics software for fulfillment and distribution companies with offices in Denver, Colorado and Ellicott City, Maryland.
